Breadbin Tenor Guitar

Bread Bin Tenor Guitar  II

This is the last of 4 Instruments to be crafted from a Beech Ikea Breadbin
The body is the aforementioned Beech Breadbin with the word bread proudly carved into it.

It has a solid cedar top and a beech ply back with a thin slice of spalted Birch.
The neck is quarter sawn Sapele with a Purpleheart fingerboard.  It has a fairly chunky soft U profile to retain strength and enhance sustain.

It has Brass and ShonKinite fret markers and Aluminium side dots.
The tail piece is brass and it has an Afromosia Bridge topped with a fret wire.

The nut is handcarved corian ant the tuning is taken care of by attractive Wilkinson open geared Waverley style machine heads.
It has been finished in a satin finish.
The action is really nice and low and has great intonation. It projects plenty of volume for it's size. It is also equipped with a twin Piezo disc system so it can be amplified. When amplified it really comes alive with a rich and warm vibrant tone.
